Legacy

A growing niche within Sherman Video Productions are “Legacy” videos (also referred to as “Video-Biography” or “Life-History” Videos).  Essentially, these interview-driven videos capture and document the stories, memories and lives of loved ones and family members.

Legacy or “Life History” videos make great gifts. You and your family members will receive an entertaining video to treasure now, and to pass down to future generations for years to come.

Broussard Family Legacy Video

An abbreviated version of the recently produced Legacy video featuring Don and Sue Broussard of Baton Rouge. We sat down with Don and Sue in late January of 2017 and had them recount their childhood as well as their early days of marriage, their careers and their keys to a memorable life.

Lady Pat sherman, Legacy Video

Lady Pat Sherman was born in Jennings in 1939 to Ivan and Elouise Patterson. Lady Pat is as entertaining in real life as she is in front of the camera. We sat down with Lady Pat and her husband I.J. in the summer of 2014 in order to capture some of their stories and memories of a life well-lived.

Life & Times of John Percy Sanchez

In the Spring of 2016 Mr. Sanchez took us to his backyard to demonstrate the art of cleaning turtles (and filleting catfish). While cleaning the catch John shared some of his World War II stories as well as stories surrounding his childhood in Point Coupee Parish. Normally, these legacy or biography videos are done inside someone's home - but for John, it was easier to get him talking if he was doing something with his hands. Enjoy.

CHARLES "CHARLey" ROW III, LEgacy Video

Charley Rowe was born in Maringouin, La in 1926. We sat down with Charley in 2009 and had him recite some of the more interesting stories and memories from a life well-lived. Charley was a graduate of Shady Grove High School, LSU with a BS degree in Business Administration and attended Edinburgh University in Scotland. He served in the European Theatre in WWII as a medic with a combat engineering platoon and was awarded the Bronze Star for his actions involving the Seig River Assault crossing in Germany. Charley retired from New York Life after a long and successful career in the insurance business. BTW, Charley died in 2012 and thanks to this video tribute, his stories will live on forever.
